Shirsha Chakraborty
Shirsha’s musical career began at a young age. Shortly after moving to Canada, her parents enrolled her into Hindustani Classical vocal lessons which guided her on her path to participate in a regional version of Indian Idol, as an international contestant in 2008. After the competition, Shirsha enrolled herself in a regional arts program at Mayfield Secondary School followed by pursuing a Bachelor’s of Music at Humber College. Since then, her musical career has begun to flourish as in 2014 she won a singing competition which was held by renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan – this led to her recording vocals on his composition called “Laadli”. More recently, Shirsha made her first debut in Bollywood as a play-back singer alongside Ustad Rashid Khan in the film Wedding Anniversary.
