monstrARTity Creative Community (“monstrARTity”,”us”, “we”, or “our”) operates (the “Site”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.

We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, email, postal code, telephone number (“Personal Information”).

Direct Collection

When you:

  • Sign-up for access to our Goodie Package
  • Or submit a #MonsterArts for Seniors Request for Workshop form, 
  • Or fill in and submit our form to download the MAY Teacher’s Package,
  • Or fill out our Employment Application form

We ask for your contact information, including items such as name, address, email address, and telephone number as well as other various types of personal information such as school name.

Third Party Services Used for Information Collection

We also collect personal information when you submit any of the external Google Forms that we have linked on our website. Linked meaning our website has either buttons, imagery or hyperlink text that when clicked will redirect you to a specific Google Form. Google Forms are identifiable by the URL format in your browser’s search bar. 

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Any of our linked Inquiry Google Forms
  • Any of our linked Workshop Request Google Forms
  • Any of our linked Artist Application Google Forms
  • Any of our linked Vendor Application Google Forms
  • Any of our linked Volunteer Application Google Forms

The form response data collected through Google Forms is stored by Google in a spreadsheet on Google Drive, which is customary when using Google Forms. Google’s use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service which we encourage you to read for more detail.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect from the Site forms (direct collection) as well as the third-party services (Google Forms) in various ways, including to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our website
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our website
  • Understand and analyze how people use our website
  • Communicate with you 
    • for customer service
    • to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website
    • to provide you with the information or resources you requested from us (e.g. Goodie Package, MAY Teacher’s Package)
    • and for marketing and promotional purposes
    • depending on the contact information you provided, we may contact you by means of email, telephone, direct messaging, etc.
  • Process your application or request
  • Find and prevent fraud
Log Data

MonstrARTity, like many site operators, follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log/collect the information your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). All hosting companies, including the one MonstrARTity uses, do this as a part of their hosting services’ analytics.

This Log Data may include information such as:

  • your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, 
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP), 
  • browser type
  • browser version 
  • the pages of our Site that you visit
  • the time and date of your visit 
  • the time spent on those pages 
  • other statistics

These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The information is used for administering the site, analyzing trends, tracking general movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Third-Party Log Data

We also utilize selected third-party vendors such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixels for enhanced tracking technologies and remarketing services. These services are applied to the entire Site through the use of first party and third-party cookies to, among other things, analyze and track users’s use of the Site, determine popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. 

We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors and no personal information is contained in or collected as a result of using these cookies or pixels. You are still encouraged to review the third-party vendors’ privacy policies and contact them directly for responses to your questions. 

By accessing the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. 

If you don’t want any information to be collected and used by tracking technologies, you can visit the third-party vendor for that specific third-party opt-out option, or use the Networking Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Tool or the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada Opt-Out Tool for general opt-outs.


Depending on the contact information you provided in our forms, we may contact you by means of email, telephone, direct messaging, etc. The purpose of our communication with you will primarily be to:

  • Deliver a requested customer service
  • Return an inquiry you made
  • Provide you with necessary updates and other information relating to the website
  • Provide you with the information or resources you requested from us (e.g. Goodie Package, MAY Teacher’s Package)

With your consent, we may occasionally use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information regarding our services. You may opt out of receiving these marketing/promotional communications at any time by unsubscribing from our emailing list.

Donations and Payments

Visitors to the Site have the option to donate to MonstrARTity, while our vendor partners can submit their fees on the Site. We use third-party services to accept and process all donations and fees (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Children's Information

MonstrARTity does not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Information Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Breach Notification

Should the Site experience a security breach that poses an actual risk of significant harm to an individual, we are required to inform the affected individuals as soon as feasibly possible as well as report all security breaches to the Canadian Privacy Commissioner.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of March 31, 2021 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
